Road Reports

It is never a good idea to drive on poor roads, however if you simply must drive remember to allow plenty of extra time to arrive safely, and be sure to tell someone your expected time of arrival at your destination.

By adjusting your head restraint you will limit how your head and neck can snap backward during a collision.  This will reduce both the risk and/or severity of a neck injury.  Always check to ensure that yours and your passengers head restraints are adjusted to the correct height every time you drive.

Make sure they see you when you drive...drive with your headlights on day or night.

In winter if stranded:

  • Stay in your vehicle.  Do not try to walk for help.
  • Run a stranded car for short period only, first ensuring snow is not blocking tailpipe.
  • Open a window slightly when the engine is running.
  • Do stretching exercises to maintain blood circulation.
  • Cover exposed skin to avoid frostbite.
  • Melt snow to drink.  Do not use alcohol, alcohol hastens body heat loss.
  • During the day tie a brightly colored cloth to your antenna to alert police/rescue.
  • At night use your emergency flashers to alert police/rescue.
